Masai Mara, safari, large mammals, ancient tribes that today still have their ancient rituals and customs in mind. All this and much more is what you can find in one of the most impressive natural parks in Kenya: Masai Mara. Taking a safari through the Masai Mara is one of the most intense experiences you can have in Kenya, a country that has made its natural wealth its main attraction. Although it is not the largest of all the reserves that exist in the country, it is one of the most impressive. And, not only because of the number of animals of different species that you can see in it, but also because in this protected area man coexists with nature as he did centuries
ago. This is possible thanks to the fact that a tribe, that of the Masai, continues to maintain its ancient traditions and rites for example, in their passage to maturity, adolescents have to hunt down a lion with only their rudimentary arrows in this place of unique beauty. Arriving in Masai Mara you will have the feeling of having moved into a world of movies and of reliving the scenes of some as famous as ‘Out of Africa’ or ‘Mogambo’, with the aura of magic that emerges from their scenes. In this nature reserve, whose limit is only imposed by natural borders, live together some of the most spectacular animals on earth, which you can see during your safari. Masai Mara is home to giraffes, hippos, antelopes and gazelles, but also to the ‘big five African mammals’: lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards and rhinos, which you can see in their natural habitat. In addition, in Masai Mara you can witness a spectacle of unique beauty: the migration of zebras and wildebeests. Every dry season thousands of zebras and wildebeests travel from the endless plains of the Serengeti (Tanzania) into the muddy waters of the Mara River to invade the Masai Mara grasslands between May and October.
